Are foreign nationals permitted to visit Gurudongmar Lake and Baba Mandir?

Is acute mountain sickness (AMS) a concern on this tour?
Yes. Gurudongmar Lake is located at 17,800 feet, where oxygen levels are low. Travelers should hydrate well, rest properly in Lachen, avoid heavy exertion, and spend no more than 20 to 30 minutes at the lake. Carrying small portable oxygen cans and smelling camphor can help ease mild discomfort.

Can we get pure vegetarian dining along this route?
Yes. Hotels and local kitchens across Gangtok, Lachen, and Lachung readily serve hot, freshly cooked pure vegetarian North Indian and Jain meals.
