The name Kurseong originated from the phrase “ The Land of White Orchids.” I was first introduced to this magical land from the pages of Ruskin Bond, where the forgotten tales of the colonial era were whispered amid the lush tea garden and misty winds.
At my visit, I was spellbound by the drifting clouds that entered my room through the windows. Contrary to Darjeeling’s hubbub, Kurseong was a very soul-soothing experience surrounded by colonial-era charm and an endless cup of refreshing tea.

The landscape of this hill station is marked with dense forests, orchid plants, emerald green tea gardens and breathtaking viewpoints. You can enjoy some foggy sunrises and slow-paced, peaceful afternoons here amid bird songs.
