The name Kurseong originated from the phrase “ The Land of White Orchids.” I was first introduced to this magical land from the pages of Ruskin Bond, where the forgotten tales of the colonial era were whispered amid the lush tea garden and misty winds.
At my visit, I was spellbound by the drifting clouds that entered my room through the windows. Contrary to Darjeeling’s hubbub, Kurseong was a very soul-soothing experience surrounded by colonial-era charm and an endless cup of refreshing tea.
