On a clear day, this quaint village boasts a magnificent panoramic view of the majestic Kanchenjunga and is a perfect escape for tourists, especially during the summers when the mainland is blistered with the scorching heat of the sun. This village is a gateway to Manebhanjan (nearly 7 km away) and the trekkers’ paradise, Sandakphu, which is another 18 km away. This peaceful retreat has the right blend of tranquil monasteries, lush tea gardens and a vibrant local culture. With Nepal bordering this region, this is a great pathway for a seamless cultural exchange. This adds a unique charm to the village.
